This is officially our favorite place to stay! Close to the beach and being able to rent their golf cart made things super easy as well! This home is absolutely beautiful with lots of space!

Derek and Lauren have created the perfect escape — peaceful, cozy, and just steps from the beach. The home was spotless, beautifully decorated, and filled with thoughtful touches that made it feel like our own little sanctuary. Waking up to the sound of waves and sipping coffee on the deck every morning was pure heaven. We spent our days relaxing by the ocean, reading in the sun, and taking long walks along the shore. Everything about this place invites you to slow down and truly unwind. Derek and Lauren were amazing hosts — warm, welcoming, and quick to respond to any questions. You can tell they genuinely care about their guests having the best experience possible. Their local tips were also spot-on! This house was perfect for our annual week long fishing trip. There was plenty of room for all of us. The beds were perfect and comfortable. The location is perfect also. Very convenient to everything we needed or wanted to do. I would recommend this house 10/10!

We rented this home with our children and grandchildren for a before school starts last hooray 🎉.. The instructions very clear, the location was great and communication was easy.. The home was clean and welcoming. We especially enjoyed being able to hear the waves and see the water from the deck.. We also rented the golf cart which was such a blessing for hubby and I.. (age 65,70) we were up and on the beach for sunrise everyday.. The beds were soft and comfy with pristine linens.

The house was very nice and clean. It accommodated our large family well. We liked the close proximity to the beach. The chairs for the beach were much appreciated as we didn't have room to bring our own. We had a broken appliance upon checkin but was given a temporary replacement. Our host was quick to answer any questions we had. This is the second house that we have rented from this host and we have been very pleased with the accommodations.

Ocean views from the balcony! 10 friends, celebrating 10 years of friendship. All moms and all of us wanted our own bed, Derek’s & Lauren’s home provided just that. Spacious bedrooms and a large cozy living room. Beach is a very short walk and sitting on the porch at any time of the day is perfect!

The place was beautiful and well taken care of by them. Very accurate description. They are quick with responses to any questions you may have at the time. Loved the beach. Only issue we had is a lot of things were closed so we had to travel into the mainland. However now that we know the area we will be better prepared for that aspect. We were just there during the offseason is all. Which had its benefits. Overall I highly rate it. Unfortunately that will probably make it harder to book in the future. Great hosts. The house was gorgeous! Seriously taken back at all the little details that made the whole experience feel luxurious. The kids absolutely loved the built in bunk beds and the decor was on point. Clean and no bugs! As many others have said, pics don’t do it justice. Totally made a simple weekend in south Texas feel like a special getaway. Owners were kind and responsive as well! Would highly recommend!

The place was absolutely amazing and more beautiful than the pictures. The neighborhood was peaceful. The beach was a short 2-3 minute walk to the beach. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to cook with. The option of the golf cart was a great touch. I would definitely recommend and stay again.

Everything was perfect. I felt like I was in an HGTV episode staying there. We did have one little problem and reached out to Derek and Lauren, and they took care of it in the bathroom. The view is beautiful. I can hear and see the ocean. I am in heaven.

We had a blast! The place was stunning, the golf cart made it awesome to get to and from the beach. Chairs being provided was great! The beds were comfy! The place was great and open for large groups. We loved our stay and would definitely stay again. Derek is an amazing host!

House is GORGEOUS! Neighbors are super nice! The double bunked bedrooms were my favorite part! (We have 2 teenage boys and 2 teenage girls; they didn’t feel packed on top of each other!) We were a little disappointed the golf cart wasn’t included, it was an add-on, but we know for next time! Loved that the kitchen had spices, and the collection of coffee is amazing! There was no propane in the fire pit, but we know to bring some next time! All-in-all, it really is a gorgeous place in a great location. We’re coming back next year, and letting our kids bring some friends. ❤️

Our stay at Derek’s beach house was absolutely wonderful! The accommodations were both comfortable and elegantly designed, providing a serene and luxurious environment for our vacation. The house had everything we needed to feel at home. The kid toys were a delightful bonus and kept my grandson entertained throughout our stay. The distance to the beach was perfect, just a short and pleasant walk/drive away. While we would have appreciated having a grill, out/indoor surround sound, portable beach chairs, and an beach umbrella (as these items are a bit cumbersome to travel with and very expensive to buy), this did not significantly impact our overall experience. One small area for improvement would be the cleanliness, as we did notice some hair and spiderwebs upon arrival. However, this was a minor issue in what was otherwise a stellar experience. Overall, it was a 5-star stay and we are already looking forward to renting this charming beach house again in the future. Highly recommend!

Lauren Airbnb was amazing, we have a lot of problems but she was always there to help us, everything was super clean. When I spoke with her she was super friendly and polite. And I talked to Derek also but he wasn’t very nice. Lauren knows how to make sure she feels comfortable and was very friendly and helpful. The unit is new, just needs a few more kitchen appliances. But we had a great time. thank you Lauren. In the future we will stay again at this house.

This is a beautiful home that is very spacious throughout. All basic day-to-day needs were included in the home. It is in a nice, quiet neighborhood. You can definitely walk to the beach, but having the golf cart made everything even more enjoyable. I highly recommend adding that option. We had a great time and hope to stay here again!

The house was everything it was described to be and more! My family and I had such a memorable weekend here and the kids can’t wait to go back. The kitchen had everything you needed, cooking for our family, this was a plus! The bunk rooms are definitely a kid favorite and made it to where everyone got a bed. A restroom in each room was also beneficial. The golf cart was a nice add on to cruise down the beach. More importantly our host was very responsive for all the questions I had before and during my stay.

My wife and I attended a wedding on Crystal Beach recently and this was the perfect place for us. The beach house is recently updated and they have done a fantastic job at creating something really special. Luxury accommodation at a reasonable price. Communication with the host (Derek) was amazing. He was prompt to respond and very helpful throughout the process. We will definitely be back with the kids soon.
